Cal State L.A. sophomore Valexsia Droughn, who won the California Community College Athletic Association state title in the 100-meter dash and placed second in the 200 last year at Ventura College, led off the second-place 4x100-meter relay for the host Golden Eagles at the Cal State L.A. Invitational at Jesse Owens Stadium. Cal Poly Pomona edged Cal State L.A. by a 47.41 to 47.42 margin. Droughn is scheduled to run in the 60-meter dash March 8 at the NCAA Division 2 Indoor Championships in Pittsburg, Kansas.
